I've switch the damn thing off twice now mid play, has anyone else had this. Did Sony put any thought into designing the psp? Or can we blame team17 for this?

You can't blame Team17 for you accidentally flicking a switch on a console they didn't ultimately design.

I think it's all about how you hold the console. My hands never rest over or by the switch, so it's not a problem I've experienced.

I don't own worms for the PSP, but when I play my dad's PSP I have a fear of touching that Darn switch.

You can, however, blame them for poorly designing the PSP in a way that leads to the WLAN switch being turned on/off due to the fact that it is constantly touched by the left hand.

I've only had it happen to me once though, and it wasn't game-breaking or anything.

i was only joking about blaming team17

Heh. It's very uncommon, I presume. Never happened to me on any game.

The switch on my PSP takes more force to move than I would ever accidentally put on it, so it's never going to move when I don't want it to.

Apparently they moved that switch to the top on the slim PSP but i'm still using the old one.

Hang on, Team17 didn't design the console. So you can't actually blame them at all. I imagine yopu'll be wanting to blame Sony, if anyone.

What squirm?

Anyway i've never experienced a problem with the switch prior to worms, its happened at really intense moments, i am slightly surprised no one has has this problem, i'm also surprised sony 'designed' the switch in the place that it is.

The "yes" was in recognition of the fact that you were joking I took it seriously because, well, knowing this forum someone could blame that on Team17.

hmm one wonders why it wasn't put in this obviously better place in the first model of the psp (planned obselence maybe?) the fact that they are moving it pretty much proves it has been a problem.

I used to power off my DS phat accidentally sometimes, if my finger slipped off the d-pad. I'm glad they moved that on the DS Lite but I don't like the Lite's d-pad or the location of the start/select buttons.

I highly doubt Sony or Nintendo put the buttons in bad places to encourage you to buy a new version, it was just the best place the engineers and designers could come up with at the time and probably passed their tests. The first model is often rushed to release to try to beat their competitor to the market. You can never please everyone with button placement.

When I got my DS I thought I'd be hitting the power button every five seconds. Not done it yet though!

yes the power on the ds i thought was in a bad place but i'm in the process of selling it now anyway.

WHAT!? sell your DS!? thats crazy talk! and suicide, and this is the worst time since W:OW2 is still new. if you don't have W:OW2 for the ds then get that instead of selling your ds

I think he means he's selling his old ds. The only good thing about that were no micro scratches on the shell, and an excellent D-Pad for games that used 8 direction. DS Lite D-pad is terrible with diagonals but good for drifting in mario kart though, whereas the old D-pad was awful. You win some, you lose some...
