Why this thread?
Well because i at first did not get the game to run in widescreen modes.
After reinstalling the game and finding out that i did have to run "WORMS 4 MAYHEM.EXE" so that the launcher utility did not change my config back to a 'normal' resolution i found that i could play the game in any custom resolution.

read my next post to see how u will be able to play the game in any disired resolution

i am able to play the game in aspect ration: 15:3, wich is infact tripple 4:3 aspect.

just remember:
Allways run the game with WORMS 4 MAYHEM.EXE
Edit BOTH cfg files: launcher.cfg and Default.cfg
In both files use same resolution

edit the following files, note how i changed the values W: and H:

Default.cfg:
/W:3840
/H:1024
/FS
/TRIGGERSINVISIBLE

and launcher.cfg:
/W:3840 /H:1024 /REFRESH:60 /NOMOVIES

and then starting worms with WORMS 4 MAYHEM.EXE instead of launcher.exe,
by starting worms 4 mayhem.exe i was able to load the game with custom resolution.
even widescreen resolutions and surround resolutions i am able now: 1280x720 works FINE and 3840x1024 also works perfect!!!


edit:
see how i changed the W: and H: attributes, for everyone else who whants to play this game in widescreen resolution just open the files mentioned above and fill in de desired resolution!
two computers run the game perfect in widescreen here !

maybe a next update for team 17:
importing default support for following resolutions:
widescreen(W x H):
# 2560x1600
# 1920x1200
# 1680x1050
# 1440x900
# 1280x800
HD-TV:
# 1920x1080
# 1280x720
Matrox Tripplehead support:
# 3840x1024
# 1680x1050
# 3072x768
# 2400x600

example: to change the resolution of the game to 1440x900 change W:1440 and H:900.

I tested above mentioned resolutions myself, streching of the image occured (in 15:4 aspect),for the rest of the resolutions the image was perfect and clear!

i hope that team17 will make a fix for this, worms over 3 monitors would be more then lovely !!

i am playing allmost all my games in so called surround-view
