K, I entered a room, and got asked what the rules (presumably, of proper) is by the host.

I got kicked later when I was going WTF.

So can I get an explanation of what this is? The Worms Knowledge Base has no information on this.

Some lazy people say "Roper" or "Proper" instead of "ProRoper". It's possible that you were kicked because ProRoper has very strict rules and maybe you broke one. Or the host was of the opinion that your roping was so bad that it ruined the game of the others (because of the crates).

You make no sense, you can't kick people in game. He got kicked for showing that he clearly is a newb at the scheme and having no clue.

The fact is that there's a bizarre sub-culture of "propers" (presumably pronounced "proh-pers") on WormNet who would never dream of playing a normal game of Worms and have no time for anyone who isn't already fantastic at roping. If that includes you, you have no particular hope of joining their games. This may seem impolite, but it is a blessing.

It sounded to me like he was kicked IN GAME. That's why I assumed the host used some inofficial boot program to kick him. I probably misread rctxtreme's post.

This sub culture does exist, I guess, but most people who are awesome at roping are awesome at default schemes too, the stereotype of roping people who are mean and bad and can only play the roping scheme is long gone. And, well, it makes sense to me to boot someone from a game if he has no previous trainning on the scheme, after all, he'd only ruin the game experience for others unless they're all up for teaching a newbie, which most people aren't, understandably so.

I was kicked in the lobby, not the game.

Wonder why it's called proper... I mean it just sounds like a normal game O_______o

The real elite pro-ropers play with their screen resolution changed to 640*480, one eye closed and only using the pinky finger of their left hand though.
