hi, recently (IE: today) i was banned and so was a guy from FU from wormnet... im curious about why a administrator (or a guy posing as one) is now suddenly on there?

i've been banned for 30 minutes. :(

perhaps this was done by volcadmin? if yes then the major annoyance i feel is mostly from how others where acting prior to me getting banned.

I *suspect* it was for bad language, as that seems to be a recurring theme for the people who got banned. Mr. Admin may not be very fond of profanity. :p

But, I don't really know. I'm still kinda confuzzled about it all. >_<

There is some kind of autoban, I think. (Not an autobahn.) That can ban you, but I don't think there's ever a human admin online. It's a bit rubbish at knowing who to bam, but it does stop people flooding too much.

It's not impossible Volcadmin was online today, seeing as there's been an outage that needed fixing and the fix needed testing.

Personally I've only heard of people being automatically banned for flooding in one of the channels and flooding the server with too many consecutive reconnect attempts. If you were doing none of the above, I'd say there's a good chance Admin was actually an admin and did what he saw fit to do. The fact that people did things infinitely more horrible before the admin's arrival is a poor excuse. :eek:

I think the auto-ban is set to ban the user for only 15 minutes. 30 minutes might be a new record.

I Recently played worms armageddon but i cant go on wormnet because i have this error message:Chat Server Connection Lost.
I try every day to connect on wormnet but i always have this error!!!:mad:

you won't belive how many people say "Noob Shirdel, sitting in a tree". We really need a Admin to ban them at least for a day or 2 and saying the reason why. And we need it now.

When I am online and I see bad language I normally give a 30 minute ban, if there is severe abuse when I am not online you can report it to me (with the time and timezone of the incident) and I will look into longer term bans.

Somebody totally sweared at me for quitting a game. The only reason i quit was because my tea was done. When you go online there can be a lot of bad language. It needs to stop.

Actually, if your comprehension pattern was to read and then understand instead of to read, and then post, I mean, it would be awesome if you could take your head out your ass, or more precisely, mine, you would have realized that I was actually answering to Shirdel about a little concern he had about being abused in wormnet by people using some lyrics, I only explained the situation because I was there, I made that song, I was being accused.
What's funny though, is you and Plasma's pseudo moderating gone wrong, now, because you're used to mess ups like these I don't expect you to feel any worse.

The fact that matters here is that when Shirdel spammed #Ag I didn't spam back, I just made a song to him which is what he mentioned in this same thread and that's were I got in and posted because it concerned me, not you, not Plasma. Now I don't see where the confusion is or why the hell you got involved but the fact remains what you just said here doesn't make any sense so instead of trying to save your butt from being wrong you should begin accepting you are and stop losing my time. Because frankly, I'm fed up of having to explain myself over and over because you can't seem to grasp the concept that is reading carefully and minding your own business, and if that wasn't clear enough here's a reminder:

i need some help all my ports are open and my fire wall is not blocking it but still no one can join me have i been banned from hosting? and if i have how do i find out?

it tells you that you are banned and prevents you from joining any IRC channels (thus preventing you from ever seeing any other players)
