It's a shame we didn't have one this year. Not properly, at least. It's great I got to meet Matty in the flesh before I moved, but it is a pity no one else had the foresight to arrange something after I left. This year is the first year since 2004 where a group of four or more OD-ers have failed to be in the same place at once.

I refuse to let that happen next year. As events transpire, I will be in England for a week or two during March, and at least one day of that trip will be spent in London for the UK Web & Mini Comix Thing where I will be promoting Jump Leads. If you're going to be able to be there, then woo. No idea what the date is just yet, though.

If not, I'll likely be in England for two weeks in March and it would be superkeen funky-fresh if we could meet up. Maybe there's another theme park we could go to, or some other event or thing we can do. Any thoughts? We have much more time to plan this one... :)

I'll have to wait and see - I break up for the Easter holidays on the 18th March, so please keep us informed if they announce a date.

There's no chance I'll be able to make it to the UK get together, however I will be moving to LA later this month.....:p

I see how it is. Noone wants to meet with the American OD'ers. Well you can all go to hell. :p

America is a big place. It's like saying, "Hey, all of the Forummers in Continental Europe? Fancy meeting up in Belgium for a pint and a game of Wii Sports?"

And I think you are as far away from me as you could possibly get while staying in the country

I have absolutely no idea how a US-based meet would work. It'd have to be an event such as, say, PAX or the San Diego Comic-Con (I'll be at both next eyar, by the way).

Only a fool would expect me at either, but maybe in a year or two.

edit: I do want to meet up with people at some point, but I dunno how

I'm the only (o\|/ on this forum, so I guess I'm the only one who'll be meeting me :(

More seriously, it'll depend on work and so forth. I tend not to make plans for tomorrow, let alone for 6 months into the future ;)

Where do you live?

I'll take a bus to your house and we could make lemonade.

I doubt I'm much more likely to turn up at an American meet-up than an English one.

Assume I can be anywhere in Britain with sufficient notice. Abroad, I need a better excuse than "meeting some internet people". Unless it's dirt cheap, of course.

I see no reason why I shouldn't be able to make a meet-up with six months' notice. I'll try and keep March clear.

Weren't you trying to tell me about the UK Webcomix Thing, Ben? Y'know, on Nemesis, in the rain?

Squirminator2k

Yes. Loudly. I had a sore throat, and then I hacked my own email account*.

That's the two weeks I'll be in London for in March, actually. If people fancy coming to said event, I'd happily keep chairs available at the Jump leads table and we can all go out for a drink afterwards. I might even give you guys some free Jump leads swag as well.

I might try to make this.

The important question is, would you want to meet ME?

I too might be able to make it this year, especially the Web & Mini Comix thing.

No promices, as the nature of my job means I have no idea what days I'm working next week, letalone next march.

That's the question that killed last year's Get-Together. :p

I'm going to be at the Thing whether you guys are or not, so you may as well come anyway. ODers will get a special discount on any merch I'm selling on the day.
