View Full Version : WA dumping to desktop on Vista

I am running Vista, a NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS (with the latest drivers) and the WA v3.6.28.0 (beta) update.

My friend and I want to run a network game between our computers.

We can start WA and create our teams (although no soundbanks are available for some reason). I can then host (and he can join) but as soon as we click the lightbulbs and go to start, the game crashes to the desktop.

Any ideas?

most likely tries to load a soundbank that isnt there oO and doesnt have any fail safes for this issue, thus causing it to crash....

its just a thought...

I'll try and sort out the soundbank issue...

Please clarify "crashes to the desktop".

Please clarify "crashes to the desktop".
It means it disappears, i.e. crashing to the desktop.

No worries now though, I've sorted it.

How did you fix it?
Re-bought the game.

Re-bought the game.
Like most problems in life, this one can be solved by money!

That doesn't make sense though, how can buying it again fix a problem related to a computer?

Surely you could have simply re-installed?

depends on if the disc was faulty or not ;)

That should be refunded or replaced though, not re-bought :p
