I got inspired by Shuichi Shigeno!!!

Then, I see it now... The fanart forum now has no real artists posting. Just those fantastic threads yakuza loves. I don't care seeing a bit of them... with people even trying to teach them to do it better... But since those people ignore those advices, they don't improve at all... and stay there, posting more of that thing he won't improve... And then, more come, in the same situation. Then, after the ones giving advice notice that nobody will listen, they stop doing so. At the end, nobody likes anything there, they can only see funny crap for 10 seconds... after other 10 seconds... After a full minute, it becomes just annoying, because the good art you expected is now gone.

The art's ok, the problem is it's hard to follow without a few reads. I think the problem is you draw it like an action cartoon, jumping from scene to scene instantly without elaborating too much. It might make sense to you, but you might wanna check with a friend to see if they get it without you explaining it to them. More narration bits like "At the Race Control Panel..." or more elaborate panels (I didn't figure out the Safety Cars crashed against each other at first)

Still, you sure like your futuristic cars.

There are better ways of doing that then messing with the contrast.

Of course, they involve getting a proper image-editor.

Hey cisken, i had another alternative than messing up with the contrast. Just scan the image in black-and-white. that'll settle the problem.

I am now working on page 2 and 3 of episode 2.

but please be reminded: every page of my comic is rather empty as the panels are large, so only a small part of the whole story fits into one page.

That'll get you guys wondering too.

Hey cisken, i had another alternative than messing up with the contrast. Just scan the image in black-and-white. that'll settle the problem.

and just out of curiosity, how do i compress GIF images? I want to put it as my av but its 400x320 and 291kB. so this means i'm not spamming, as it is t17 related.. ;)

Well for starters, avatars have to be at most 100x100 so resize it first to see if it'll fit.

As for the comics, they're... well, you sure can draw cars getting scrapped to bits. :p

You still need to work on your resizing though. Page 2 is too big and page 3 is too small. (to be easily readable)

once the elimination round ends, i will delete/edit all my posts in this thread concerning the art competition and create a new thread. I HAVE MADE A VERY BIG MISTAKE.

Gee... yeah, so much... consdering that it was only started about 15 days ago...

i'm planning to work on comics based on movies, novels or books after my WR series finishes. Spoilers!! WR will end with a dramatic ending. Oops! Looks like that revealed it out...! :rolleyes:

and i planned everything out-- the storyline aren't mainly based on worms. I'll add some humans and other elements to retain the main storyline.

For example, "Great Expectations" from Charles Dickens and the whole series of "Harry Potter" from You-Know-Who.

the new thread will still start with elimination round, too. but i prefer PB's entry best so far.

are we just waiting for 31 August and just delete this thread off, or are you just out of ideas for your our Worms Racing?
