Apparently, this is the news:

That's really worth getting the press in for, I suppose.

I think the main phrase originated from "I'm in your base killing your dudes." But I don't know where that came from. Maybe TFC or Halo/2? And who came up with it?

Cat's with captions, or "lolcats" are now an officially and publicly acknowledged meme. It's no longer cool!
Abort! Abort!

I know nothing about Anonymous but find the article amusing in some parts. The Harry Potter spoiler attack was a bit lame, though.

"She set up phone tracing, a security system, and bought a dawg! *woof!*"

lol, yeah that's tragic.

Surely if someone harasses you over the phone in the US it's against the law and the call can be traced?

it's gone far beyond that, now, because they found out who this guy is and posted his address and phone number and stuff all over the internet, as well as the contact info of his parents

in all fairness he was being a really creepy ****, saying that he wanted to rape a girl at his school and attempting to use /b/ as his personal army to track her down and harass her

that doesn't justify /b/'s retaliation, but still

here's some stuff

In older days you needed a bounty hunter to handle such people, nowadays the internet is sufficient.

I like the fact that the Football Stadium threat was from a thread called "ITT: We post fake threats".

Yes, 4chan/7chan and the likes are definitely terrorist organisations. Not just some massive geek community with it's share of bullies. No, it's Fight Club but on the internet, hackers on steroids, doing it for the lulz... ;D

When I watch that article again I find more of it funny. For example, why did they have to show pictures of semi-naked men touching each other up? Couldn't they just have stuck with a vocal description of the content of the subject's MySpace page? It's like TV for toddlers where they associate something visual on-screen with words and phrases. And the cute doggeh!

Matty, it's the Interwebs. Obviously you don't need to make your (http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Exploding_Van) own (http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Buy_A_Dog) images (http://encyclopediadramatica.com/INTERNET_HATE_MACHINE)...
