I've been trying to get WA working on Vista for a while now. I'm running as Admin, using compatibility modes, installed the newest update etc. Each time it goes to a black screen and then crashes back the desktop and spits out an error report (see attachment).

Maybe someone can help me :(

What about video drivers? Have you tried updating those?

Also, what video card do you have?

My video drivers are up-to-date, and I have an intergrated Intel 954GM Express.

Intel's drivers for Vista aren't compatible with W:A, AFAIK. Unless someone can come up with a better solution, you'll have to either dual-boot to XP, wait for a driver update from Intel, or wait for W:A 4.0 which will be rid of the code which causes your problem in the first place.

How long do you think it will be until 4.0 is released?

Hmmm... I have a... Similar, problem with WWP on Vista, however, I enter the game, and it is extremely slow and choppy, both in the game, and in the menus. My specs:
WinVista Business (32)
1GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 7600GS
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 4300 @ 1.80GHz, 900 MHz

Hehe... Done that... I think its something with the processor, like the game's not using it well?

Never mind, I now play Worms 4. WWP is playing just very... weird.:p

more like the processor is lacking functions that the game uses due to companies liking to drop support for old stuff.

No, it's just the same issue with WWP and some nVidia cards. It happens on Windows XP as well.

Craap... Guess I should had never changed my ATI... O well. Much of my other games work better with nVidia, including Worms 4.

I got mine working on vista by updating to the newest patch. However, any resolution above 640X480 all the colors go psychedelic.. pretty much impossible to play. I updated drivers(nvidia geforce600), tried running in 256 colors... Any suggestions?

Yes, get the CD version :) The only place you can get any support on the TryMedia version is from TryMedia themselves, and I doubt they have much support to give anyway!

Do you have a solution to the color problem when running WWP in resolution higher than 640x480? My monitor runs at 1280x800 and its kinda awkward to play worms in 640x480.
