Shoe colour isn't of great importance in this kind of thing unless you're trying to go somewhere with it. Like being a clown or something. 'tis why we've gone for teh darkness.

Feel free, if you want to have a go. I intend to use my avatar as my Ben Of The Month on RealVG (and various other forums), so if you can improve upon what I've done then go for it.

You don't have sticky up hair or a Victorian forehead. You have hair that covers your head but is flat to it, but there isn't a suitable cut in the options. Your hair is a darker ginger but in cartoon form that doesn't work as well as the colour we picked here. Your eyebrows aren't especially thick. Your eyes are a little further apart than some, IIRC, but the options didn't reflect your personality very well without choosing ones with half-closed lids. I chose a smaller size, which is still cartoonish but more closely resembles real life IMO.
Your choice of mouth gave you a bit more chubbiness to your face, which is true, but I wanted to go for length to compensate for the change of hair.
You usually always have something on your T-shirts. In this case it's something as close to sci-fi as can be gotten (the three-eyed fish). I felt brown shoes worked better than black in this case, with your (new) denim jeans.
