Hi, I'm a new member of this forum, and I recently reinstalled both WWP and WA. I used to play both of them ALOT, when I was younger, but now, I'm having a problem with colours. I think this happens in both of the games, but I don't know if it's the exact same problem. The problem is:
Whenever I play a match, afterwards, when I'm back in the menu, the colours are really screwed up, almost everything black, with some white now and then.
Sometimes it even happens when I start a match, and if that happens, the colours get even MORE screwed up. The latter happens alot more on WWP, I don't know why.
I found a way to solve it in WWP, and that is to play with the lowest resolution ( 600x400). I don't know if this also works with WA, because I haven't tryed it yet. If anyone experiences the same problem, please post a solution.

Most likely cause is a program stealing the focus of the game.
Switching to your desktop's colour setting then messes up the game's colour palette.

Perhaps an application having an "always on top" feature enabled, like instant messengers, winamp, etc.
StarDock's Object Desktop supposedly also can cause this issue.

BTW, the latest beta update for WA is 3.6.28.0 (http://wa.team17.com/main.html?page=supp&area=upda&file=15).

Try this: When you go back to the black menu, on WA at least, with the latest update, click at the very bottom of the screen to minimise it, then click on the WA icon in the taskbar. This might help.
I reckon it might be a program that pops up when the resolution changes, eg a graphics card driver, because the menu at this current moment in time runs at a fixed 640x480 resolution, this is why when you set the game to that it doesn't happen.

You can also minimize by pressing Shift+Escape, if you have the latest Beta update.

check for a pallete.log file in the games directory.

pallete.log is only written when the palette is stolen in-game...

I think I solved it. It was some torrent programs I had running in the background. I also installed the latest drives for my graphics card. It's all good now.
