audio disappears while minimized and returns when i return to the game.

ill test the volume bug later.

What's the problem? The game's sound is supposed to be muted while the game is minimized.

By the way, the version number isn't 3.6.28.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.0. You added too many ".0"s. While we're on the topic, I want to mention that it's been decided to use only three of the numbers for beta versions, so they'll always end in ".0". Everyone might as well refer to the current beta merely as 3.6.28, so it's easier to remember.

the bug is that you listneded to the sound so that you knew when your turn started.

but on some PC's the sound is muted after a few seconds when minimized.

The sound should be muted while the game is minimized. If it wasn't muting, that would be a bug.

Have you seen this?

Minimising
When the game is minimised, it will flash its taskbar button and produce a standard beep in the following circumstances:
At the start of a local player's turn
If the player has gone "away" using the /away or /afk command, the game will only produce a standard beep
When the user receives a private whisper

That should take care of any need to know when your turn starts while the game is minimized.

yes, but prior to the 3.6.28 you needed to listen in order to know if it was your turn.

I got the opposite. Sometimes when I minimise the game, I can hear the sound of the rope being shot and attaching.

The same happened with the previous patch.

yes, that normally occurs when not using volume at 100% and is what SHOULD happenen if you exclude the fact that the volume should not be played at 100% while minimized since you do not have it set to 100% in the game..

I do not understand anything in this thread. Are you complaining that we fixed a bug and calling it a bug (muting the sound while it's minimised)? And, we know that sometimes you can hear random sounds at 100% volume while the game is minimised - we're not yet aware of a simple fix for that.

oh, guess um i thought we were meant to here the sounds but not always at 100%

how else did people see if it was there turn without restoring the game?

Well, the sound glitch was quite rare for me, so before I implemented this feature I just had to restore often in order to not miss my turns. Minimising was also quite risky back then due to the risk of the game freezing and not being restoreable again.

Hmm, SupSuper reported that some sound samples were cut off during a game yesterday.

And Showtime just told me that sound gets disabled when a game ends. :-/

that is why i said 3.6.28.0.0 which also is wrong -.- its 3.6.28.0

The only bug regarding sound I get is this:

It happens no matter what volume percentage you have the sound set to. That was Franpa's imagination. It is true, however, that the sounds you hear when minimised are always very loud, almost certainly at 100%.

I think what causes the bug is minimising at the exact time a sound is played. That same sound [and perhaps others that were playing back at the moment] is then heard every time an action in game triggers it.

I hope that made at least some sense.

hey, nice idea KRD, that does make a lot more sense and does seem to be the case now that i think about it.
