Hello

I've updated my worms WA with the newest patch..
but when I join a network game the program is closing with errors.
When I have an every old patch I can join a hosted game.. but then I must download the new level patch.. (what crashes)...

What must I do?

Actually Worms Armageddon wont work with Windows Vista for all. If you want play Worms Armageddon I propose to install Windows XP.

It works here...

Wait for the next patch, which should be out soonish. It might fix your problems.

It is possible to get WA to work with Vista, many people have managed it. There are a few other threads around here on the topic of Vista but I don't recall any mentioning wormnet.

CyberShadow: In the 3.6.28.0 Beta Update Worms Armageddon will work fine at Windows Vista?
Btw: It'll be release in this Monday?

It works in Vista 64-bit for me. I had to enable the slow UI fix, but that was all. It really doesn't like being minimised though...

Hi Skorp!
One question: where did you get that UI fix from?
In my opinion Worms A. is running awfully slow....almost not playable.
Vista Ultimate 32bit

Same problem here. I can run new "system hog" games perfectly fine (Oblivion, Medieval II: Total War, FEAR, etc...). And I can run pre-XP games perfectly fine (Planescape: Torment, Daggerfall, Diablo, Warcraft II, etc...). But this game just doesn't want to play smoothly.

Vista Ultimate 32bit

the UI fix is in /tweaks in the W:A directory in the latest update. Just double click the file that enables the UI fix.

That fixed my UI issues but it still doesn't work right in game. It's really choppy unless I disable all of the background features (using insert) and even when I do that whenever the water comes into view my framerate drops. It's still playable but a little dangerous when the framerate suddenly lowers when roping. I also enabled the VRAM tweak that's meant for WINE and I think that helped, but I haven't got round to confirming that...

Wow I couldn't even get WA to install on XP 64-bit until the auto-installer came out.

Turn down your DPI (Font size). It should be set to 96 DPI.
