Hi I've just bought worms armageddon and the version as it comes on the CD is 2.8. I've been to the team17 website and downloaded the 3.6 beta and extracted that into the worms armageddon folder and it doesn't appear to have changed anything at all. The wormnet server still says i'm running version 2.8.

Can someone please talk me through the process of updating the correct version of this game? Maybe there's something obvious i'm missing - i.e. do i need to download all of the previous updates?

Any help/advice would be truly appreciated and hopefully i will soon be kicking some worm ass on the net!

The best thing to do is uninstall the game, then reinstall from the CD but instead of adding any patches or updates, just download and run what I've llinked to below, this will sort it all out.

That's new to me.

That's the WormNet server version, not your WA version. You check that by hovering the mouse pointer over the logo in the main menu of the frontend.

If that doesn't say 3.6.26.5, do what Hurrell suggested.
