I have been having screen lags lately and I cant do anything to stop them , literaly.. I turned Vsync off, I changed my rate to 75hz, I did a spyware, adware, virus scan, cleaned everything.. I even rolledback my Graphic Card drivers.
Please help me, I'm begging you..

System is :
Intel Pentium 4, 3.2 GHz
1 gb Ram

Graphic Card :
Geforce 7600 GT

So you see, the system must NOT be the one making me lag. Help :( I'm desperate, i cant rope and I'm losing all fb games

Are you using Windows XP or Vista?

I've had issues before with ObjectDock lagging some of my games, try disabling any extra programs, virus checkers are potential candidates here.

Also, if you try pressing the insert key to just display the black background you may find that helps a little bit, makes things a lot smoother for me.

The replay recording causes lag on my laptop but it does have a fragmented 5200rpm drive. Make sure write caching is enabled for your drive (it should be enabled by default but if it was disabled it would cause even more lag).

My Computer > Right click C: (or drive with WA installed) > Properties > Hardware > drive with WA > Properties > Policies > Enable write caching

Another method is giving explorer.exe a lower priority ('Below Normal' would do) over the Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del). Alternatively, you could give wa.exe a higher priority (everything but 'Realtime'), but note that it makes the game crash at the end of each match on some systems.

I don't think those things will help, he is using a very good computer as far as I can see.

Do you have your nvidia drivers up to date?

I'm guessing that since he says "I even rolled back my drivers" he's tried both new and old.

This started happening to me too (GeForce 6600 GT). Setting the priority worked great. Might just need a reboot too though.

Any tips on not having WA turn psychadellic multiple times / game? I don't really like minimizing to fix this, that used to crash with my old setup.

For me, it was object dock causing lag and an automatic background changer (Webshots) causing crazy colourings.

Basically anything that steals focus from WA will cause the weird colouring. The best way to try and avoid it is to kill off programs and processes that are not vital to the running of the machine, then run WA and see if it has changed anything.

i had a problem when ive changed my geforce 2 gts to a geforce 6200.
solved the problem this way: go to ur WA dir, and use the SlowFrontendWorkaround_On.reg or SlowFrontendWorkaround_Off.reg one of both worked and then WA was uberfast again lol. good luck

My 6200 had the same issue but I fixed it just like you did. :)

Yeah, of a fresh reboot and killing anything extra from the startup, I had no problems at all.

Back when I had a (well 2) Geforce 7600 GT, I had a horrible slow frontend which is a common problem and was easly fixed with the slowfront end workaround feature.
But the main game ran fine, no problems at all.

As your problem is different to mine even though we had the same OS and Graphics cards, your problem must be related to background programs.......either that or your WA CD is so horribly scratched that the game is struggling to read from it and thus staling.
