Basically, I've written a script for GlovePIE (http://carl.kenner.googlepages.com/glovepie) which is designed for playing WA on your PC with your Wii Remote.

If you want to do this, you'll need to connect your Wii Remote to your PC. You can visit this site [ LiquidIce's Nintendo Wii Hacks (http://wiihacks.blogspot.com/2006/12/howto-use-wii-mote-in-windows-as-your.html) ] for a guide. It's easy to do but you need a compatible adaptor and the script uses a Nunchuk so you'll need one of those, too. The script (Wiirms.PIE) is attached in a rar file.

That guide includes links to the programs you'll need to run the script. You just connect your Wii Remote to your PC and run the Wiirms.PIE script in GlovePIE.

As you can imagine, some controls have had to be left on the keyboard only. You still have to change grenade fuses on the keyboard (though I'm still working on how I can fix that... and failing) and of course you can't chat. There are probably other things I've missed. I've not used the A Button yet so if you spot something let me know or add it yourself and share it. :)
I've put in an option to turn on LEDs and rumble to go in time with the power bar for when you take bazooka style shots. You can enable it in the options bit of the script.

The controls are as follows:

Pause: Home Button
Weapons: C Button
Select: Z Button
Camera/Mouse: Nunchuk Joystick
Aim Up: +Control Pad Up
Aim Down: +Control Pad Down
Walk Left: +Control Pad Left
Walk Right: +Control Pad Right
Jump Forwards: Vertical flick of the Wii Remote
Jump Backwards: Vertical flick of the Wii Remote with a wiggle
Jump Vertically: Horizontal flick of the Wii Remote (I know, I know).
Backflip: Horizontal shake of the Wii Remote
Mini Backflip: Double horizontal flick and vertical flick of the Wii Remote
Fire: B Button
Grenade Min. Bounce: Minus Button
Grenade Max. Bounce: Plus Button

I think that's everything so let me know what you think and feel free to make improvements and share them! :)

Interesting stuff. I imagine BattleRace looks funny with these jumps.

Or you could have emailed me you tard.

I might log into msn one day. Right now I am slowly recovering from a mammoth stint working away from home.

Sounds good. That gives me a reason to get a bluetooth adaptor.

It's actually really fun to play. Just make sure you get a compatible Bluetooth adaptor. :)

Vader, how about making a video showing you how you play? :)

I don't have a video camera, unfortunately.

Well, a web cam then? Or your mobile phone if it has video capabilities?

Wait, I just realised I do have a bluetooth adaptor, albeit for a laptop (which will mean I have to wait five years for it to start up, and install the software).

Hmm... the compatability list has gone down. Does anyone know if the TDK 0700 PC Card is compatible?

Surely the best way to find out is to try it, since you have it all there. ;)

Come on, was that really necessary? We know Plasma's often thick. Get over it!
