I've downloaded some custom schemes like wxw and shoppa, put them under /user/schemes foulder but when i look in the drop-down list of schemes i cant find the custom schemes i've installed... what am i doing wrong? what can i do to get them working?

I'm guessing you downloaded schemes for the wrong game. Worms Armageddon has a slightly different scheme format from Worms World Party. They do not get displayed in Worms World Party because they do not have the proper file length.
