Ok, its not my idea its Molly Magoo's from the Xbox forums. But i liked the idea so i thought i'd post it here...
Ok its worms....clothes. Like hats, wigs, glasses! It would give the worms their own idenity for online or offline. :o Plus it couldn't be so hard to program a cute hat or wig on a 2D worm so it would be cheap to make, and hopefully cheap to buy :D
I'm sure alot of people (including me) would pay a small amount of points 50-100 for some clothes for their worm teams, to give online more of a kick.
Plus special things could come out for special days. Eg Christmas hat for christmas or pumpkin mask for Halloween. The list is endless.
Thoughts on this idea are most welcome!

Aw, I thought you had a way to stop disconnectors, which are also called D/Cers...

I was thinking of this also! I would be more then willing to buy hats or gear for my worms. Like small bamboo hats for my Samurai worms, or a helmet for my Imperial Worm Brigade! If there isn't going to be a future for new weapons and such, this would be a wonderful replacement. Adding some visual items like hats etc, would add more flare to an already good game! ^^

All the worms are hand-drawn in 2D, so it would take a lot of time to make hats and things. Couple this with previous chat about this sort of thing in other 2D Worms games and there is no chance.

You can buy these thingies you want there. By the way, you can also create your own guns. It's for PC, PS2 and Xbox (not 360)

The PSP version of Worms Open Warfare 2 has support for hats, so it can be done in a 2D game. I doubt it will come as downloadable content but I wouldn't be surprised if WOW2 is eventually ported to 360 or a variation of it.

What are you talking about?
The worms in XBLA are not hand drawn, and even if they were, making a simple hat/accessory wouldn't take much time. Even if you animated it, wouldn't take that long.
I still don't see it implemented in this version, but maybe it will in a future version, if there is one.

My apologies. They were drawn by a robot, then, or by a special mind control device.

I kindof remember them being Vector based. But yeah Hand Drawn generally means drawn by hand witouth the assistance of a computer. CG art, even tough it does involve using your hand to move the mouse/stylus etc, is not considered Hand Drawn.

I consider it that, since the artist is using his hand to draw stuff. But I don't know the industry stance on the term.

Vector, eh? I thought they were drawn like the game's predecessors. They've done a good job, there. Well done, Team'.

This would almost certainly require another game patch in order to implement. I doubt it will happen.
