So, lets start from beggining.. Before some time i had dynamic IP adress and i could host. Before few weeks internet providers made my IP adress static and from then i cant host games.. I red all posts about hosting, all faqs etc..
I dont have router, theres no firewall.. I add my IP in configuration screen below "Force IP" in WA. I tick "Force IP". I add 17011 port in game configuration. And it doesnt work.. dunno what to do..

By the way, after they made my IP static, theres one extra numbers line in network connections options section.. cant tell exatly where it is.. it is called DNS number ? maybe it is smth about it ?

you don't need to adjust ports in there, if you have no router then you dont need to force your IP nor do you need to set up that network proxy stuff in that area as well.

I've tried to do like u said.. but still no success.. what can be else ? Does it matter, if IP adress is public or no ?

Please guys, help me out. I appreciate any help, cuz i dont know what else can be wrong :/

i assume the proxy part because thats the only part asking for a port.

emm yea.. Proxy port.. but when i leave it empty theres no difference..

thats the point, that i dont have firewall ( turned off) or router..
Does it matter if my ip is public or no ?

Try hosting a game, minimising and then using this website (http://www.canyouseeme.org/) to check if your port 17011 is open.
If it's not, you'll have to revise your router and PC firewall's configurations.

Okey.. I tried to do as u said.. i get a message:

Error: I could not see your service on 88.118.182.120 on port (17011)
Reason: Connection refused

So, it means that something should be wrong with firewall ?

But once again i say, that firewall is turned off.. :/ How it can affect when it is tuned off.. :/

Do you have a router? Are you using a university or company internet connection?

I dont have a router.. My internet connection is just a simple local connection that most of ppl are using at home..

As i mentioned before, I could host before ISP did something .. dont know what..
I had problems wit hinternet, it was slow, etc.. So one guy from my ISP came to my home and smth did.. from that day i cant host :D before that day i could..
At least now internet runs smoother...

By the way, theres something else.. When I download updates of World of Warcraft with its downloader i get a message, that im behind a firewall or router too.. and downloading speed is very low.. I think that Hosting problem ,and that problem with WoW are linked.. Theres one reason about these things.. :/ but noone knows what.. :/

I completely disabled.. i went to Control panel -> windows firewall -> advanced , and unchecked ticks from all connections...

I think i will never be able t ohost :"(( dont know what can be wrong :/

Your connection has most likely been re-routed through a NAT by your ISP. This would mean that you no longer have your own external IP address. You will need to get your ISP to forward the port 17011 to your NAT IP in order to be able to host again.

U mean to ask them to open this port ? btw, what NAT means ? :]

ok, firstly
1.go to this site http://www.no-ip.com/
Then make an account, it's free.
2. Follow the settings to make a domain name
eg, www.nautic-noip.org
3. When you enter your IP address in wa, DONT
instead enter your domain name that you created :)

give that a try, hopefully it helps

Reflector: that won't help him. CanYouSeeMe auto-detects your IP, and since it wasn't able to connect to the game port while he was hosting a game, it won't matter what his IP will be configured to. I suggest not trying to give advice when you're not sure what you're talking about.

nautic: NAT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_address_translation) usually means that you don't have an external IP address. You can check by opening a Command prompt and entering ipconfig. Look for the line beginning with IP Address - if your IP address begins with 192.168. or 10., then you're in a Local-Area Network and your Internet connection is NAT-ed.

If you're NOT in a NAT, then there's a firewall blocking incoming connections. If it's not Windows' Firewall, you should check with your ISP regarding their changes in the configuration.

um, unticking stuff in the windows firewall BLOCKS stuff unless your in the "advanced" tab ;P instead of unticking stuff you should simply on the left most tab mark the bottom radar dot thingie.

192.168.x.x

so, whats now ? :]

nautic: you'll have to contact your ISP. Your internal IP address is dynamic probably because your ISP uses DHCP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DHCP). You'll need to contact your ISP and tell them to give you a static internal IP address and set up the router to forward incoming connections on port 17011 to your internal IP address. If they can't do that, you will have to get them to give you an external IP address, like the one you had before you lost the ability to host.

You can temporarily stop the Windows Firewall/ICS service by typing net stop sharedaccess in a command prompt or the Run... dialog. To re-enable it, reboot or type net start sharedaccess, or just try to enable it from the network configuration - Windows will prompt you to start the service if it's stopped.

I doubt doing this would help, though. Your LAN IP obviously points to the fact that you're behind NAT, and it's quite likely that the ISP didn't configure any port forwarding whatsoever. Did you contact your ISP yet?

As I expected that net stop sharedaccess didnt work..

No, i havent contacted my ISP yet.. I dont know what to tell them ^^ Futhermore, i dont think that it is their problem :/

Ahh by the way, as i mentioned before, when im downloading World of warcraft patch with blizzard downloader, it shows me that im behind firewall or router..

After i disabled that "net stop sharedaccess" servise, that WoW downloader still shows me that im behind firewall or router.. So, if firewall is completely turned of, it means that im behind router.. But hell, i dont have ****ing router.. im totally confused.. Maybe ISP made my connection like through router or smth like that ? Is it possible ?

yes, at there end they may have a bunch of people on a router.

Yes, that's probably what happened - you and several other subscribers share the same connection and external IP. You could print this thread and give it to them, I'm sure there's enough technical discussion here for them to understand the problem - if they can speak English, that is.
