Hi,

I've been subscribed to XBL since launch. When the Halo 3 beta launched my girlfriend decided that she wanted her own account so she created one. Today we've been playing Halo 3 together online great but one of our friends fancied a game of Worms with us... that's when the trouble started.

I bought Worms when it was first released and have had a few fun games online. Now, our friend wanted to have a game with me and my girlfriend. So, he was on his own Xbox and me and my girlfriend were on my Xbox. Seems simple enough. He created a game and invited me. Sure enough, I appeared in the game. Then he invited my girlfriend. She accepted the invite and we were disconnected due to "network issues".

Fair enough, we thought. We'll create a game. So, I created a game. Invited my friend and he appeared in the game. Then I invited my girlfriend and we were disconnected due to "network issues". We have tried this various ways but we just can't seem to get a game going with two of us on the same Xbox. We both have Live gold accounts too!

At first I thought this would be something to do with the fact that we bought Worms under my account but this can't be because both myself and my girlfriend have played online with our own respective accounts since this.

I find it extremely frustrating that the QA department at Microsoft didn't test two Live accounts on the same Xbox properly. I'm a games programmer and I know for a fact that our QA department wouldn't get away with this kind of thing.

Two online players on one 360 is not supported. QA aren't supposed to find unsupported features since they are infinite.

I think more games should support guest players and multiplayer gold profiles online. I doubt we will see more than one title update for Worms and this feature isn't going to be in the Wednesday update. Hopefully it's in a future Worms game.

Currently, ONLY 1 Xbox Live Gamertag can be signed in to play a game of Worms XBLA over Xbox Live.

I don't know if support for guests and multiple Xbox Live Gamertags will ever be added as a feature for the foreseeable future. All I know right now is that it just isn't supported at this time.

For the time being, try this workaround:
Sign in with only 1 Xbox Live Gamertag and play Worms over Xbox Live. Have the one player use 2 worms and the other player will use the other 2 worms from the same team. You'll need to hand over the controller, but it is the only workaround that I can think of at the moment (besides just having everyone at the same house to play a Local Game).

Spadge can elaborate more on this subject than me, so you might want to see what he has to say about it.
