I am running Worms World Party SP1 and can not connect to WormNET in-game.

I click the button, enter (as it tell me) any username and password and wait on the next screen after entering those details for some information to appear in the big box. Instead, I just see the hour-glass for around five seconds then it goes back to a normal cursor and nothing appears in the box.

Any ideas?

Sounds similar to this problem to me: http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=32607

See if your firewall is to blame.

I have the same problem, i have disabled firewall and have original copy with SP1 and Wormnet still says "your WWP is out of the date, download the lastest patch"

I think this can happen if your system clock is fast or slow.

Make sure it says the correct time and try again.

I also have a problem - I get the "fatal error on connection" message as soon as I try to connect to wormNET.

I've tried forwarding a port and setting up a Special Application rule in my router and then using that port in the 'proxy' box on WWP, but it made no difference.

Does anyone know what causes this error?

u never want to touch that proxy box unless your using a proxy, most people are not using a proxy so it is fairly safe to assume you yourself are not using a proxy, thus leave the proxy stuff in W:A turned off.

only thing that needs to be done within w:a would be to enter your external IP then check the "force IP" box.

you may also need to adjust your router and firewall's but tho's arnt set or configured within W:A.

oh, in that case read the sticky thread on how to adjust the "IPOVERRIDE" option in the registry then.
