Hi, I have a friend that have just installed w:a on her machine, but it didn't start, only shows a black screen without any sound.

She has patched and updated it but w:a don't works. She tryed with patch + update and without patch + update, but both ways shows black screen.

She has directx 9.c installed, and she changed the resollution but... didn't work.

¿What can she try now?

Reinstall don't works.

I helped solving a very similar problem yesterday by simply disabling introduction screens.

Try adding a /nointro to the command line in WA shortcut properties (after "...\WA.exe" /nointro)

OS xp,
Graphic card... dunno for now.

The nointro command didn't work.

The game starts well, but the black screen comes when she try to enter a new game or missions game...

Is the game legit, or at least, burned off a legit copy?

The game is the ISO that I have and works well.

I don't know her graphic card. I'll talk with her to ask about the hardware she have and I return to post here.

PD: She have worms2 installed and it works well.

Um... yakuza, last time I checked:
1) You are not a mod
2) You cannot lock threads
3) This thread isn't locked :p

I only posted that because I knew that if I did there was a smaller chance of it being locked.
