Kay, i just did the export feature from w:a and made the movie with Virtual Dup. Well, the file that VD makes are bigger than 2gb. I just want to make them smaller. But still with good quality.
I tried to make it with Adobe premiere. But after the rendering it looks very ****y :/

Someone knows how to make it better? :)

Try using a compression method like DIVX or XVID.

XviD definately is the way to go. It's been a while since I used the codec, but I still remember how it worked. Give me a shout on IRC or MSN or something if you want to, I can explain it better that way (I suck at writing tutorials that have different steps for every person and video).

maybe try .H264 ? its the main one that tasvideos.org use :) 17:24 minute video = 28mb but it all depends on what the video is of.

I made them into DivX.
Now its ...ok... qualitiy. But when i cutted it and renderd it again its looking scarry.

So...maybe its better to use the 800MB ones to cut and render them after that. hmm.

Ah one last question.
What is the best resolution for making movies?
Coz if i take 1024x768 the movie is getting to big for adobe etc and i have to make it smaller. (So the quality also getting worser)

Most that I've seen are fairly small, playing them double size in WMP doesn't harm their quality really, so I'd go for about 512x384, see how it looks and if it's still quite big you can always make a "lo res" version for others.

bigbilly, video's will become enormous at that resolution. Finding the tradeoff between resolution and bitrate is essential. TV resolutions are generally good. 720*576 for PAL (britain for eg) and 720*480 for NTSC (america for example). I do them resolutions especially when I intend to put the footage onto a TV someday. If you intend to do this, MPEG2 for DVD would be the final codec you would use. But for PC it is XVID

But, it is all trial and error and how good it will look, experience tells you that for 1 MBit/sec, roughlt MPEG1, will give you adequate quality at 320*240.

XVID is prob the best general purpose and supports all sizes. Divx has to be certain multiples of resolution.

in any case, it is a tradeoff between size, resolution and quality.

A good video editing codec as opposed to uncompressed material is DV. Video editing will put enormous strains on all your resources, so be prepared for that
