Hi, I used to play worms armageddon probably years ago and I wanted to start playing online again however I haven't been able to get connnected online to WN. It says unable to connect to sever, please try a different one. I installed the latest patch, Update: 3.6.26.5 and i don't seem to know what the problem could be. I am at a dorm in a university and do not know if the problem is on my end or if they block any of the ports i would need. I am no computer expert so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

k so i was reading around and i tried entering this in the command promt:
telnet wormnet1.team17.com 6667
and it said could not open a connection to the host on port 6667: connection failed

Then i tried telnet wormnet1.team17.com 80 and i got a blank screen. So is there any way to realize if port 6667 is the problem? I am not sure since I am able to use mIRC to download stuff before but i dont know if that was 6667.

Your university network is almost surely blocking IRC connections (port 6667), which isn't uncommon for dormitory networks. You will have to settle this with your network administrators.

problem solved...thanx shadow...it had to do with mcafee onconsole and it blocking a port. Somone on a different thread in this site posted the solution and i want to thank them since mcafee was blocking the port all along. Now i can finally get back to the game.
