Very good job!
I'm getting 50+kbyte/s. Woot!

Azureus tells me that the average completion is 1.6% though.
When I have finished in ~4h I'll keep seeding until my share ratio is at least 100%.

Edit:
Hmm, you did a bad job naming the torrent though.
The correct term is "speechbank" whereas you wrote "soundsbanks", with a redundant S in there.
I only found it when searching for "worms" alone, under the recently added torrents. :/

Well, time to do so now. Get Azureus (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/)!

If you use something like emule, then just put that big file in your shared folder so the file gets hashed, then copy/paste the ed2k link it made for that file on the forum.

I have finished downloading.
There are 3 peers with over 80%, so I'll keep seeding several hours until those have finished.

mmmmK, I just went through the hassle of installing azureus and java - the torrent will be downloaded within an hour it says, lolz ty :)

Well, time to do so now. Get Azureus (http://azureus.sourceforge.net/)!Only if you want to devote over 80 megabytes of memory for a torrent client, for no good reason unless you really need the rarely-needed unique features Azureus offers. Otherwise, I'd recommend µTorrent (http://www.utorrent.com/).

over 80 megabytes of memory
Needs 32MB for me.
But µtorrent obviously uses less than half of that.

Woah... this is a HUGE collection, lolz! btw, there are several folders in it which probably don't do a thing - I found a couple of worms2 soundbanks, subdir-subdired including some other worms2 files, and some others which are in a folder with the same name again (move those soundbanks up 1 folder). Around 10 soundbanks in total maybe that need a little fixing, I didn't count. Anyway TYVM for this 1.4Gb speech add-on, I got 551 banks now in total, WOW!

Unless you have less than 1GB of RAM, Azureus is better. 80MB of RAM is NOTHING, unless you're playing a game or something while downloading...

I've tried both, and for every single torrent I've used (and trust me, I've used loads), Azureus is faster, probably because most of the time it connects to more peers and seeders.

I've tried both, and for every single torrent I've used (and trust me, I've used loads), Azureus is faster, probably because most of the time it connects to more peers and seeders.

You can get µTorrent to do this, just requires some set up. Both are very good clients, and a normal user won't need the few extra options Azureus has to offer.

To some people 80mb can be much, I know a lot of people that still have only 512mb of RAM to work with. µTorrent only has a footprint of like 12mb, which is a pretty big difference if you have so little memory to use.

A lot of people know too little about the bittorrent protocol to fully understand how to optimize their clients to get the most out of their connection. I could get my torrent client to connect to thousands of seeders, but all those connections will mess up my internet speeds and will sometimes crash my crappy router. You can usually have the same speed with much fewer seeds, but how to get to that point is hard to explain.

Also keep in mind that peers tend to seed to the clients which have the highest available bandwidth (so that those can distribute it amongst the others in the swarm) - so limiting your upstream so you can have a better download speed doesn't work. It works the other way around.

I could do a great big post on the setting up of torrent clients, but I don't feel like doing that right now. But I want to say all the client fanboyism isn't really needed, as many clients will get you exactly the same speeds as long as you set them up properly. Also remember not to use any 'cheating' clients and to keep your torrents open after you have finished downloading (so others can enjoy higher speeds).

I'm not going to download this (not a big fan of custom speechbanks), but thanks a lot for the effort and for making this pack available. :)

Ghost;573710']anyone here gonna upload the ones i don't have, that they do :?

Well, the rest I got from the DarkMatter clansite (http://www.clandarkmatter.co.uk/) and BTP, you'll easily find them ;)

Another question arises, since there seem to be SO many soundbanks, wouldn't it be funny to have a little feature to enable a random soundbank for your team each game? I checked some banks and of course there are many which have nasty clicks and a lot of noise in it (ppl: check out Goldwave (http://www.goldwave.com/), it's a very nice application to edit your sounds easily), so I know you'd probably scream once in a while "I wish this game ends now cuz my soundbank sux SO hard at the moment", but on the other hand many good soundbanks would make up to that. The idea of a randomizer for it is just because it would take a lot of time to check more than 500 soundbanks and see which u wanna use... xD it would also be nice to see somewhere on the screen, for instance in the chat window, what the names of the soundbanks are that are being used at the moment by the teams.

Speaking of soundbanks, it would be nice to have a little feature added: custom and default soundbanks. If someone uses a custom soundbank and you don't have it, WA will play it's default bank, usually the local country sounds. It would be nice if you could specify which soundbank should be used if a custom one is not available to others. I'm playing with a Futurama bank, but would like to have others hear the cyberworms bank if they don't have the Futurama bank for instance.

Otherwise, I'd recommend µTorrent (http://www.utorrent.com/).
This one, or use Opera (http://www.opera.com).
It's the best browser ever (yes, better than Firefox) and has an inbuild bittorrent client. Not to speak about the other amazing features like IRC client, mail client, etc.
