Hi guys,

I been playing around with the idea of worms fingercam vids with the view of using them as training videos.

You can describe to someone how to rope all you want...."use this diagonal here" and "tap up when you scroll".....all that kinda stuff, but with these vids you can actually see the buttons being pressed and I think it serves as a much more useful way to study rope technique.

RopeTech™ will be an ongoing process and eventually I hope to have a whole series of these movies covering all the major tricks.

Enjoy :<

Rope moves with key display.

I had already seen a few of them, very nice work! Could you maybe explain how you did the keypress showing thingy? I'm pretty interested in that.

Links fixed.

Koen, I added the keyboard display with photoshop and then exported all the separate pngs into imageready and made into an amination. Then exported from imageready (after adding the writing) back into pngs and loaded into fireworks where I filled in the appropriate keys with red on each frame.

The thing that took the longest was getting the individiual pngs into layers in photoshop. I literally had to drag a marquee and copy, then paste onto my clipboard...only then would my exported frame become a photoshop layer.

That's like 120 frames or so ( frame skip 2 ) - of copy and pasting before I can add the red.

If anyone knows of a quicker way it could REALLY speed up this project :<

Photoshop has a good batch processing tool that'll probably help you a lot with most of the steps.

You can extract keys pressed from the replay. Then generate a picture from those keys pressed.
