In a 4 player match by myself I...

Kamikazed my first worm stright down , creating the themometer effect.

Dropped about 30 mines into the hole by getting all worms stacked by the whole and dropping away.

Burned about 4 worms into the hole.

Just as the explosion happened, the game froze and the controller went into a constant rumble.

I was seeing how many points I could knock off in a single explosion, but I guess those Womrs mines are just too powerful for the Xbox 360.

(Ranked 54th overall)

I was wondering if its possible to not have the game freeze when this happens, or is it just too much processing to do at once?

hahaha, that's a nice question... read up and you'll see that the multiple mine glitch wasn't supposed to be part of the game and is about to be patched. So, yes... they will make it so you won't freeze, but you won't be able to drop more than one mine anymore.

I did the same thing the other day, btw. ;-) After I restarted my xbox I got the red ring of death, too. Luckily after letting it cool off a while, it booted back up and hasn't had problems since (knock on wood).

From the description, it doesn't sound like any glitch was used, he may have used 30 turns to drop 30 mines and I expect that will still crash after the update.

Haha, same thing happened with me. I thought I was going to be funny and original by posting "Hey, I put 20 mines in a hole and it froze..." but you beat me to it... asshole.

I haven't seen the red ring yet, but I got my xbox just this December, it may be a bit improved.

I did do the trick with 5 mines and a banana bomb. Ended up with 272 damage. Still trying to top that...

I also love doing rope swings on practice games. My favorite move is to attach to a girder in the sky, swing until you can fly overtop of the girder and latch onto the other side of it. Very hard to do, and really not good for a real game. I also find that if I do any kind of rope move where I flip my worm over a ledge, the rest of the crowd starts going for me only. You really could win alot of games by acting stupid until the very end.

Another fun game is to girder a level space across a double peak map, get all the worms up, the send homing missiles up to a blank spot in the sky and see where it lands. If you clear the land to water, it's usualy instant death for the unlucky worm.

I want to try a big chain reaction where I line up 10-15 mines, then push a worm into the first one, which blasts them into the second, and so on and so on. I'd bet it won't work though.

All of the tricks mentioned here have been documented and are on display in various WA movies. I don't want to ruin the joy or anything, but I really think quite a few of the people playing the XBLA version would enjoy those. WormTube is your friend. http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=32497

The rope trick you do over the girder is called "Arch", incidentally.
