Hey guys,

I'm having a problem installing Worms Armageddon on my WinXP SP2 system. I bought the game a few years ago (Sold Out software) and it worked grand on my old PC. I've been trying since yesterday to install but nothing happens. When I end the processes (noted below) I keep getting this message:

wowexec.exe and install.exe (iirc) appear in task manager yet have no Mem Usage value, and appear between 5,000 and 6,000k.

My brother is running WinXP on his PC and it doesn't work on that either. The disc is 100% scratch-free.

Does anyone have any ideas how to install this thing?! I'm itching to play once again. Thanks for your time.

Try http://www.nanacide.com/wahelp/installguide-autoinstaller.php

That method avoids the 16-bit stuff completely.

Thanks, I ran the file with my CD in and afterwards it said "Everything is OK, press enter to exit" and I did so, but I don't see any shortcuts or anything. Perhaps I should try installing the game now?

I hope I'm doing this right *gulp* Thanks for your help.

Edit: Actually it's already installed into that directory. Played a quick game and it works, thanks a lot. It also got the patch for me. There are a few sound/graphics issues though..it crackles a little and lags a little during the game :-/ At least it's working!

For the record: do you have a 64-bit CPU and operating system?

Nah, I think his system is just broken. The error says there IS a 16-bit subsystem after all..

Nah it's not 64-bit. Everything is working fantastic now though, since I used that installer. :)
