Hey guys, lets share some of our devious tactics with each other. Sorry if mine are obvious.

1. If its one on one, I like to skip turn right before sudden death hits so that it will hit on my next turn and everyone will have 1 health lol

2. I like to memorize the rotation of my enemies worms and then place my worm right on top of one of his worms at the end of my turn so that on his turn he wont want to hit me.

3. In a map with a roof, I save all my ropes so that later in the game I can move around easy and no one else can.

4. Use a girder to trap two enemy worms together so that they are forced to fight each other. lol

ok what are some of yours?

All good strategies there that I like to use myself. Ok here are some of mine. All of which mainly apply to open levels.

1) I always pick out the higest point of the map, which has the best cover and try to get my worms there without teleporting if possible while doing as much damage as I can while achieving this. As it happens I usually get the darkside and coward award BUT it wins me games as I save my air strike to take out that last worm that has to come out from where he is hiding to ensure he doesnt drown. And when he does my air strike or homing missle will deal with him.

2) Identify the good wormers from the bad ones in the first few turns. For example if you have a good shot on say the red team but you have found him to be a relative noobie then aim for the more dangerous team even if he/she is of weaker strength. This will help at the end, trust me.

check out my ultimate worm challenge thread. I have already schooled some of the better wormers here.

Yeah, those are definitely some good tips for overall strategy when playing.

I've made no friends by doing it, but I try to save my air strike for sudden death.

Do something really silly early on and you'll be amazed how other teams ignore you! OK, I don't actually plan to do so, but I've won more than 1 match after doing some really amatuer stuff in the initial rounds.

I've detailed the lone assassin strategy elsewhere in these forums - not one to plan for but useful if you are decimated early on.

I would be interested to see your lone strategy theory if you could find it for me as I also use that quite a lot. For instance as long as I quickly get one worm to safety then I dont really mind what happens to the rest. In Fact I would rather lose a worm or two early on as it helps to position your other worms better.

So if a worm has 60 health and I only have a mine (explosive) to take him out and I have 20 health or something, I will often sacrafice myself. It gets me a kill whilst strengthening my position in the game ;)

Check out the forum titled "Cheating ranked. Won't be playing any more." for discussion of this strategy. Worked in stunning style for me last night after I had 3 members of my team decimated early on. Managed to secure the victory and 6 kills into the bargain.
