I'm thinking of buying Worms on DS, but I have heard alot of mixed reviews about it. Is it worth it? I love playing worms, and have alot of friends who would like playing it, but it sounds very dissapointing. Could anyone tell me more about the game or recommend getting or not? Thanks.

Honestly... this version of the game is pretty buggy and almost unplayable. I only recommend the PSP version, which is much better.

1: All the powerful, chaotic weapons are gone. This makes the game more strategic, but less mayhem.
2: This game is very buggy! If you have a PSP, get that version instead! It's much better!

unfortunately, i dont have a PSP, :(
Is the game good for quick mathes against friends? Thats what i would mainly use it for.
Also, how serious are the bugs? Examples?

It is a brilliant game for matches against friends; mine adore it and if they don't ever see the PSP version they'll still keep loving it.

BUGS:
Occasionally, one can control 2 people at once
You can completely mess up the CPU's fused shots if you simply select the same weapon that they're about to use and press X (change fuse)
If you fall from a height of a jetpack or rope, occasionally you can fall through land, either into the water, or even rarer stop halfway through and have any weapon you fire instantly detonate
The CPU is exceptionally bad, they never jump so if there is a bit of land in the way they just sit there until the end of their turn, and they also walk off cliffs, recieving fall damage or even drowning frequently. They also have no perception of girders and will happily shoot into one right in front of them, and also do npot try to teleport up when sudden death nears like in WA.
You can easily get stuck in land and oil barrels, which require a ninja rope and some other near-by-but-not-too-close land to get out of
The top screen flickers a lot
The menu is annoyingly stupid
If there is more than one player AND CPU teams in the game, even if there are only CPU worms left, the game says that one of the human players won.
When the final death occurs, if the other worm (from the other team) is the last one on low health and right next to the dying worm, even if the explosion from the final death kills them, the game will still think they won. This is especially annoying for "let's draw the game" kamikaze shots.

These are all the bugs I can think of. But other than these factors, the game is quite enjoyable.

You can pick up the original DS version cheaper in stores now. A full sequel is due in stores in the summer (Open Warfare 2).
