I've forwarded all the ports that can possibly make an effect, done the IP stuff, disabled my router, even enabled DMZ with my PC, and I've also tried upgrading my router's software, all to no avail. I'm thinking it's a possibility that our ISP is blocking that port, is there a way to check this? I've done everything elso possible, and it's really getting annoying that I can't play mayhem shoppas or hysterias (which nobody hosts)... can anyone help?

Oh, and BTW, my ISP is tiscali broadband and my router is a BT Voyager 2100

EDIT: WTF? Randomly I can host

OK, I don't know what the problem is, but here's how I fixed it: Every time you start the game, Go to config, change the Ip to your NETWORK IP and then exit out of that, go back into it, then enter your internet IP. Somehow after that it works...

And that works every time??

Yeah, every time, flawlessly. Oh and I have to do it every time I'm about to host so it gets a bit annoying.

As a debugging question, what happens if you go into config and clear the IP address field, quit back to multiplayer menu then enter the internet IP?

Well, I've done a bit of experimenting, and I've found out that the first IP can be any IP address but as long as it uses the format of them, eg 65.125.85.34 (just made that up) works, but 654.545.768.1 doesn't. Leaving it blank or putting 0.0.0.0 also doesn't work. Also, doing it twice with my internet IP doesn't work.

Assuming your internet IP remains static, as a time saver could you change it from 11.222.33.44 to 11.222.33.45, (just change the last digit of your IP)? Maybe that will work and won't be "as" annoying.

Force IP, you have to remember to do it. It's a problem you get with routers.

It won't. Port 17011 isn't used for UDP.
