View Full Version : Help!.. possible bug?

This is my first post on these forums as ive only just got back into playing Worms Armageddon, basically as much as i hate to be wrong.. i am hoping ive made a mistake on some small setting and this is my fault... and not a bug:

Basically I've made myself a typical "EZ-mode" multiplayer options setting scheme. with all weapons im able to access at full power, full stock, no delay and so on. but whenever a weapon crate drops in a match.. its ALWAYS and i mean ALWAYS a "select worm" .... there just isnt anything else.. whereas utilities drop perfectly normally. im desperately hoping someone out there can help me with this.:-/

You've probably set all crates to have no crate probability and you don't have super weapons turned on. (Super weapons is the icon in the very top right of your screen in the weapon menu).

To get other stuff to drop, turn super weapons on, however there will still be a lot of select worms in the crates because super weapons only appear every so often.

The select worm thing is because it's the only weapon that can drop; you set everything else to unlimited.

The game is made so that you can't pick up a weapon that you already have unlimited of.

and the reason for select worms appearing is because theres only like 6% chance that a super weapon will appear, the other 94% would be anything else but since you have everything else set to infinite they default to 'select worm', blame the guy who removed booby trapped crates =\

To quote Etho's Scheme Eddy Readme:

Super Weapons have a somewhat bizarre method in determining their crate probability rates. There are four conditions that must be met before a Super Weapon may appear in a weapon crate. (with the exception of a crate shower)

1. Super Weapons must be enabled in the scheme.
2. At least 5x as many regular weapons must have appeared in crates than Super Weapons.
3. At least 3 minutes must have passed since the last Super Weapon appeared in a crate.
4. If conditions 1 to 3 have been met, than there is a 1/8 (12.5%) chance that a Super Weapon will appear in a weapon crate. Which Super Weapon will appear is randomly determined from a list of available ones. A specific Super Weapon will not appear in a weapon crate if it has infinite ammo.andSelect Worm

It is not possible to adjust the crate probability of the Select Worm with the current scheme formats. But it is possible to adjust the Select Worm’s crate rate by adjusting the probability of the other weapons.

No, you can pick it up, it just won't do anything. IIRC, the message actually says you got -1x ________.
