Hey guys,

I've read through 10 pages of threads with no luck on finding any support for my problem. I installed W:A on my system running Windows XP, and a Geforce 7600GT from the original CD. I then patched up to 3.0 and then the beta patch. However, when I try to create/edit a team, I crash to desktop. Same thing happens if I load a game. The menus work fine, however.

Any ideas?

let me guess... CTD stand for Crash To Desktop? and er what stopped you putting that in the thread title?

OK, have you installed any custom graves or flags? If so, delete them and see if team editing works then. If not, close all open programs that you don't need to run Windows (this includes firewalls, IM programs, winamp, anti-virsu software etc etc). If it works after that, you know it's a problem with one or more of those programs. So reopen all of them and close one at a time and see if the problem still happens. If it still happens with all of them then close 2 at a time (etc etc) until the problem goes. If it doesn't go, then try reinstalling and repatching the game. You may have made a mistake.




Oh, and if you look in the 3.6.whatever beta forum down near the bottom, you'll see a thread about an automatic patcher utility for WA. Try using this, as the CD may not need the 3.0 patch.

I had that problem when I reinstalled my game, CTD'ed every time I tried to edit teams.
The solution was simple once I found it;

v3.0.5.0 (full) Update .exe | 8.17 MB
(For WA v1.0/3.0 users with no update)
