This should help 'double' beta testers who are trying Windows 2003 R2/SP2 from Microsoft's beta program. I doubt MS wants us using it for gaming though. lol look for it in next EULA
In addition to instructions at http://www.nanacide.com/wahelp/installguide-original2.php, you need to do this:
1) Enable Windows Audio service - it's off by default for performance reasons.
2) Install your 3D card's drivers. (Same advice as all OSes)
3) Install DX 9.0c as it is not installed on server OSes by default. This is done for stability reasons.
4) Run DXDIAG.exe and go to the Display tab. Click on "Enable" next to DirectDraw. If you don't do this, you'll get "memory referenced" errors.
5) Install WA_update-3.6.26.5_Beta_Installer.exe from the main site.
This made it work on my laptop so I know my CD is good. Anyone who tries these steps with the game still not working, should post in this thread. Good luck!
