i completed the challenges and deathmatches with the time bonuses
and got the wormenstein costume. But i also got something called "re-submissions" which cost 50 coins =/

It's a terrain; it's a remake of Submission from W3D.

Once an item is unlocked you can buy it from the item shop for some coins. You get coins for pretty well everything.
