I understand they couldn't include everything, but I am very sad about no flying sheep or old lady.

What weapon would you most like to see added?

None.

Zero.

Stop Dreaming,

there are no new weapons coming on the marketplace(when you post about missing weapons you want new added).
so posting about missing weapons won't help and will only start flame-wars

so the point of this post: nothing

We can dream, can't we?

Anyhoo... If I could have ONE weapon added, it would be the Holy Hand Grenade. If 2... the Super Sheep. I also miss the Bungie rope, especially with not being able to aim the Ninja rope downwards.

Why can't we dream? They didn't give us these almost standard weapons, why can't why try to see them in the weapon menue...;)

I really miss the Holy Hand Grenade, the Baseball Bat and the old lady and the napalm strike as well as the flamethrower.
Shame on Team 17, that there isn't any fire in the game.

Also I miss the Parachute, the Bungie rope, the super cheep, and the donkey

Everytime I think of a weapon or utility I miss, I think of an equally better reason it shouldn't be there, or would be pointless.

even the parachute? i understand that you can do it all with the j-pack, but i think it would make for a more interesting game to set the j-pack to 0, and give teams some parachutes instead.

Well, I was thinking that in the end all that does is give you one more option for avoiding fall damage. You can already do that by using the rope or jet pack.

Interesting that you mentioned that though, it was the one item I couldn't really decide on... :)

as i said, it doesn't do anything that the jet pack doesn't, but jet pack does a lot that parachute doesn't, which is why playing with jet packs isn't as fun. a jet pack, just like the rope in a cave level, is a go-anywhere-no-skill-needed utility. parachute, on the other hand, doesn't let you go just anywhere. it's more of a help-you-cross-that-gap-if-the-wind-is-right utility, which makes games with parachute and no jet packs a lot more tactical.

No arguement there, and there is something to be said for diversity even if it's not doing a lot. The fun factor is what's important, and I did find the parachutes fun to use, and shows off more diversity in worm movement.

But having that added in, I don't think it adds enough to the game to really warrant it my disappointment that it isn't there... so I can't say I miss it very much.

fair enough. but would you say that you'd miss the jet pack even less?

Not with since we don't have the Ninja Rope. That's what I miss most now that I think about it.

This standard "Rope" makes the Jet Pack the only way to get over high obstacles, so I'd hate to see that go missing.

I am a Worms Virgin, even though I'm a T17 fan... I just couldn't get into it as a single player game (Billy no-mates !) so I don't know the old weapons that are missing... maybe we could have some original weapons for the 360 version? How about launching an original xbox to flatten 6 worms at a time, or an anti-gravity gun? :D

Only if it were featured in the "Ranked" scheme would people complain. You might have a few, but FAR more people would be happy to see any WA/WWP weapons or features added to Worms XBLA, as long as you could limit it, or choose to play without it. To suggest otherwise is silly.

I personally would rather Team 17 forget about new weapons at this point (not going to happen anyway), and just release another worms game in a year or so that gives us a whole lot of stuff WA/WWP had, and add some new stuff we've not seen before in a Worms title. XBLA or an actual game disc, I just hope they continue the series, and keep it in 2D.

yes but peeps here are complaining mostly about adding 1 or 2 weapons so that means unbalancing the game and people see team17 gave up and started to release weapons and people begging again for 1 or 2 weopons added

this isn't a centrifuge. adding one weapon does not have to unbalance the game. it depends on the weapon, of course, but some can work with the curent weapon set.

The Parachute, mostly because it's a clever utility that seems to lie at the core of many a player's strategy, and isn't going to end up destroying half the terrain.

Also, quick question, is the Banana Bomb in? Because if it is, I can't understand the moaning about the HHG. Okay, so the Banana Bomb is a little more inaccurate, but I'd always take one over the HHG for destructive potential.

Yeah, it is, and I too far prefer it to the HHG.

yes, banana bomb is in. the complaints over hhg are not based on it's strategic value. it's just a classic. something that became associated with the worms franchise.

Same with the donkey, same with the cow. They built entire wormy value systems off this stuff, and now it's just gone. :(

But were any of those in the original worms game? Which if I remember correctly was what Team17 wanted to "return" to with this version of Worms.

What's nice about this Worms is that both new and old players that get it will basically get to start from the beginning of the series.

Then, Team17 can come out with more worm games and gradually fill them out with more weapons, etc.

In that way its smart to go this route, as it starts them over and gives them a way to advance in future titles.

Nope, the original Worms did not have the Holy Hand Grenade, Concrete Donkey, or Mad Cow. For that matter, it did not have the jetpack either, while it did have the bungee and the pneumatic drill. It had bridges, and mines that detonated instantly, but no barrels or health crates. Weapons had a much greater area of effect and something as simple as a shotgun blast could send a worm flying while a piece of dynamite would rocket a worm into the air. The new Worms doesn't actually feel like the original Worms, except from a perspective of teams limited to 4 worms and a limited weaponset.

Interestingly, many of the weapons people are asking for (petrol bomb, homing pigeon, mad cow, holy hand grenade, baseball bat, super sheep, sheep strike, old woman, ming vase, mail strike, nuclear bomb, concrete donkey) were introduced in the rare Worms - The Director's Cut, rather than Worms 2 or Worms: Armageddon as seems to be commonly believed.
