Obviously we're currently investigating what the problems are with;

(a) hosting 4 player games (this previously worked fine all through cert & testing) - it locks on hitting START and leads to the confusing messages you see otherwise about servers being unavailable etc. For the host, this manifests itself as a hard lock and requires a reset. For people joining the game you get a message saying the game is then unavailable and then the server is down, try again. (see the point at the end of this mail about playing 3 players until the title is updated)

(b) why the leaderboard's don't always send the correct information back (less of an irritation, but needs looking at). The fact that it works most of the time has been annoying.

These two issues are likely to be dealt with on an essential fix level. We will update when the fixes are expected etc. We currently cannot confirm anything until we've spent more time with the MS people - a few multiplayer titles have had updates, including some on launch.

For now, if you wish to play ranked games, I'd recommend that you go and create a game, selecting up to 3 players, this works every time. I know this is a pain, but there you go - and it'll just mean you have some fun whilst it's sorted out.

Hopefully it won't be long before this is fixed and up, there'll be some additional certification I guess. I've been playing great 3 player games all evening without any problems, hangs or anything - it seems totally isolated to 4 player - and I have had 4 player games on the go.

I take it you've seen this thread (http://forum.team17.co.uk/showthread.php?t=31921) where Shamrock66 seems to have a pretty good theory on why that's happening? If not, well worth a look, I'd imagine.

and there is another difference between developers and users. completely understandable, though.

I'm guessing this falls under Online problems.

I've experienced an issue where the other player could not hear me on the headset until we were in a chat. Voice did not work in the game natively for some reason. This only happened once. I'm not sure how to reproduce it.

I've noticed this once or twice, but it can be due to the way that wireless headsets work, not necessarily the code in the game, which works to Microsoft standards.

We didn't adjust our headsets though, and I could see the icon that appears when I am talking as well. I called him asking him what the problem was, he said he couldn't hear me, I told him I would send him a chat invite - neither of us messed with our headsets, and we were able to hear each other after we joined the private chat.

I'm pretty confident there is a software issue somewhere.

Was he in a private chat room already? Usually when I chat with someone I just stay in the room when i'm done.

According to Xbox Live Support, that is possibly caused by the router you are using. If you test your network connection in the Xbox System menu, the last thing they check is NAT. If it is not "Open", then they say it could cause you to not hear someone while in a game. I fixed it by going into my router and looking for a UPnP setting, and enabling it.

With the update, will you be able to play online with two or more people on the same Xbox if the both have XBox Live accounts? For example, I was trying to play online against my brothers who were on the same Xbox, but it would only let one of them play.

Anybody have a problem playing against people after the update? My friend and I played at least twice a week, and since the update was downloaded, we cannot play against each other. We get a message saying our network connection is not compatible. Even if we have a 3rd friend create a 3 player game, one of us cannot enter. I thought it could be a port problem, but it's the only game this is going on with, and it worked just fine before the freaking update. Kinda annoying.

It probably is a port problem but since it worked before, it may also be a bug. Open the standard XBOX live ports.

This really sounds like one of you doesn't have his ports forwarded.
