View Full Version : Last kill bug?

Hey, I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone before:

I was playing a ranked online match, we each had one worm left but mine had a lot more health: I would have killed his on the next turn basically no matter what. So on his turn, my opponent plants a mine and kills himself. Then the game says Waiting for other player for maybe a minute. After that, it sets the game up as my turn, with his worm back in the place it had been before his turn, sort-of just laying down. So I planted a grenade, killed him, and the game just stopped after the kill. Maybe two minutes later and it gave me a "This game is no longer available message". Still got the win, but weird that his last worm died twice (probably the second time after he'd already quit).

Heh, I saw something FAR worse than that happen. Player 1 throws a cluster bomb in the air and it explodes. One of the clusters lands on a mine and blasts it into the air. The mine continues to bounce down a hill as one turn ends and the other begins. Either right before or right after player 2's turn starts, the mine lands next to player 2. Player 2 gains control of his worm just as a live mine has landed at his feet, and is about to explode. Before player 2 could move, the mine explodes, nearly kills him, and his turn ends. It's now player 1's turn again, just as it was about 5 seconds ago.

If you make an update, Team 17, you might want to not have turns end until things have stopped moving around the landscape.

Thanks for the tip, but that's the general idea of how it should work. Sounds like there's an anomaly here.

one thing i have noticed which im not sure is a bug but is kinda bugging. was down to one on one, sudden death and my opponent rather than fight it out teleported about 10 foot above me so he'd take fall damage. obviously he dies but also after blows himself up i died and the game turned out to be a draw which i thought was a bit wrong.
Is it meant to be like this?

Hate to say it, but people have been doing that for years and years now. Although normally it's done when the teleporting player has another worm left, and will actually win the game. Yet another reason I'd like to see some options added for sudden death.

I've also had the "bouncing mine in to the next players go" bug. It ended my turn about half a second after it had started :(

I've done that outside sudden death. To be honest, I think anything that involves sacrificing one of your own worms has to be fair game.

I haven't seen that in particular, but twice I've had the last AI worm teleport to way above and to the right of the level (open level) and then go plummeting into the sea. Another time, the last AI worm used a jetpack to fly (again) way above and to the right of the level, and even though his jetpcak seemed to last forever, when his turn ended he went plummeting into the sea as well.

Not sure why but i seem a lot more keen to sacrifice my worms in this one than in past worms games, sacrificed a 150 worm the other day to kill a worm with 28 health with use of a kamakaze. never used to do that sort of thing im sure lol

I also had the last surviving computer worm on one of the challenges teleport to the top right of the screen out of the map. Although he seemed to survive even though I couldn't see him.
I then couldn't do anything only wait for the game to end. It wouldn't have been so bad except I think it was on challenge 12 or 13 which I found quite difficult and had got my self into a winning position for my next shot.
This must be a bug???

Yeah, I think that's one that's being fixed in the patch.

I'd guess it's because you had so many other weapons before that you didn't need to do that kind of thing anything like as often.
