Great. So, after not being able to play it on my monitor since it doesn't support 620x480 or whatever it is, I decided to install it under a Virtual PC.

So all's going well. Rah rah rah.

Setup on a clean install of Win98SE and I get that graphics problem with black screen.

Am not happy.

Have tried with and without SP1 for WWP.

And there is NOTHING else installed. Have tried all colour options.

Maybe I'm just not meant to play it.

Humph.

Am really getting agitated with the whole thing now.

Help please?

Cheers.

Well, I guess I should rename this topic but since I can't...

I've fixed my problem.

Basically, I installed WinME over Win98 and uninstalled Virtal Machine Add-Ons and it worked so I have a feeling it's a problem with the add-ons as the problem still occurs when they're enabled even under ME. I think it's something to do with the live resolution switching. I would test it under Win98 without the add-ons but I don't want to risk screwing a working version up.

So my 2p: if running under Virtual PC, do not install (or if installed already, uninstall) virtual PC.

Also, a benefit of running in Virtual PC is that you don't have the alt-tab issues- you just press alr gr and you're out the window.

This also allows it to be played in a window.

Hope this helps anyone who runs into the same problems as myself.

Until next time,
