I've been reading this forum, and ffs give Team17 some credit!! The guys have worked hard to get this release out no doubt, as they would for any other release, and it can't be too motivational to see everybody complaining about it.

No, there aren't as many weapons, and okay, there might be a bug here and there... I would also like to see some more weapons. But I still think the game's great, and I've not played anything else since it was released! It's great fun!!

I've read one or two posts comparing it to some other recent full retail games in the shops over the last few weeks, but bear in mind that these probably cost you half a ton. What was Worms? £6.80? I think that's great value for money.

I'm addicted anyway... See y'all on Live!

I understand the complaints about the bugs, but they are being addressed. Aside from that the whiners need to chill. Everyone comparing this to other Worms games relentlessly need to just follow one simple advice:

Don't buy the game if you don't like it!!

I really don't understand why so many complaints. It's a simple videogame, if you don't like it just move on to another game and stop posting all the IFS - if it had weapon xyz, if it had this, if it had that. It doesn't so end of story.

"No hun, of course you don't look fat..." ;) :) :D

Seriously folks, I think that the vast majority of people have enjoyed what's on offer, and fully appreciate the difficulties involved in producing a title for the 360 marketplace.

However, to suggest that Team17 shouldn't hear complaints is a bit of a whitewash. Isn't the whole point of a forum to air views that are both positive and negative? Feedback is essential to a small development company - if no-one buys the game, or sales are poor wouldn't they want to know why?

If people do buy the game expecting more than the demo, and then end up feeling disappointed then there's little recourse (no refunds for marketplace items) except to express their views to the people in charge of making the game.

Anyway - Congratulations to Team 17 in producing their first XBLA title. It may have only been 'good' and not 'great', but at least you made a worthwhile effort!

Network problems are my only major complaint (other things like mines being too easy to pass are fairly minor), and there is no way you can easily test having your gaming servers/connection code being slammed like this, so I'm willing to forgive Team17 on that one, since they are looking into it. Great job guys.

Thanks peeps, it's most appreciated.

Sometimes, it is a bit hard to read all the complaints about something that you and your friends have spent so much effort on making, but it's not as simple as that. Firstly, there are genuine complaints where we have cocked up, e.g., the network hosting bug. These are, quite frankly, embarrassing and I really do feel for the people having to deal with our mistakes. Mea culpa. Others are along the lines of, "It's not [name of other game]." Then you should have bought the other game, surely? The rest are best thought of as suggestions for improvement. They are read but what needs to be kept in mind is that Martyn, et al, have been doing this for decades: they may just know what they're doing, don't you think? We're also very aware that people with a complaint are umpteen times more likely to post than those who are happy. But when those who are happy post... it's just the bestest kick in the world.

I cannot thank you enough. Thank you.

Other than the online problems, I think this game is great. I've already lost hours when I've told myself, "just a quick game or two".

I know some are disappointed by the lack of weapons compared to other games, but I'm sure we'll see another Worms game on XBLA in the future.

Until then, bring on the DLC, and lots of it! I want soundbanks, themes, bigger maps?, whatever you can throw our way. :D

I, for one, would like to post my thanks to T17 for Worms XBLA. I played for a few hours with some friends on thursday night and had no connection problems whatsoever. I haven't played a pickup match yet and I have no intention of ever doing so - it's so much more fun with your friends. And boy, was it fun.

I can't believe all the complaining about the weaponset. But then, maybe it's because I think no Worms game has ever come close to the majesty that was Worms: DC. The simple weapons are the best. It's all about strategy and skill now, rather than waiting til there's a big group of worms and letting off an insta-kill superweapon.

The only thing that's lacking is the level themes. Really looking forward to the DLC and hope that themes are free so that the playerbase isn't divided. I really hope Microsoft don't hold up the DLC for too long!

Great job!

I have definitely been enjoying the game. It has taken a little getting used to control wise, but I expected that so no complaints here. The only thing that gets me ticked off is my own mistakes, like letting go of the ninja rope at the wrong time and swinging off the map, or aiming down at an enemy directly below and accidentally stepping off the edge and falling on him...Doh!

Great Job Guys!
