View Full Version : Only four teams to create?

That is really is annoying - I just tried to enter our old Worms teams and after four teams the game told me that there can't be any more created. WTF? We have eight regular Worms players here and sometimes there are guests who'd like to have their own team, too. How the hell am I supposed to keep their teams when there's only four allowed? Am I missing something or is there really a limitation to only four teams? This can't be true!

This is one of my biggest gripes with the games. I just enjoy creating a bunch of different teams to choose from and was looking forward to recreating the multitude of teams I've used in the past. I see no reason why they would have to put such a strict limit on it, assuming such things are simply saved on to our hard drive/memory card.

Did some amount of of the 50mb worth of game data actually have to be allocated for each custom team or something? Even if that's the case I'd have welcomed the option to simply delete the default teams to free up more space for custom ones.

I doubt it was a technical limitation, they probably thought 4 would be enough. It's a port of the PSP version and on the PSP it would be unlikely that you would have more than 4 custom teams.

edit: it is a space limitation, blame Microsoft for not allowing profiles to store enough data

Try creating a local user profile on your 360, and start worms with that. Maybe you can have 4 more teams under that profile?

you can only have one profile loaded at a time, and microsoft has put some ridiculous restrictions on how small profile data must be, so t17 was forced to limit it to 4 teams.

Last night I saw, that you can (or must to be correct) select another profile once you select more than one controller. But I was too lazy to restart my console with another profile to enter more teams on the other profile.

So the question is, are the teams from the other profiles available, too on local multiplayer sessions, once the profiles are active?

No, they're not. So if Player 1's profile is logged in, Player 2 can control one of Player 1's teams, but none of Player 2's teams will show up in the game. :(

That means the stat-tracking for the teams doesn't work out so well in multi-profile households because players have to duplicate their teams on the different profiles.
