Playing a few games last night I noticed after I died and all my worms were drowning in the bottom of the ocean , that I was greeted with a popup asking me if I really wanted to quit. What do they mean quit? Im dead! It also threatens to take away skill points if you leave before the game ends, so that leaves you/me watching 30 minutes of "other" people playing without the option of leaving and finding another game. Is it not reasonable to want to leave after your whole team is dead? Why must we stay and watch a game that can continue on for an hour or more?

oh I love the game btw. last time I played worms was on PS1, im loving this!

You're aware that the default schemes are for a multiple-round match? If you leave as soon as you're dead you break the following rounds. Granted that's not an issue in the last round or in one-round matches, though.

Thanks for the kind words - I'm glad you like the game :)

Ranked games are single round only so in the instance described above you would not take anymore of a stats hit for quitting at this point (though in my opinion quitting early is generally bad form and a lot of fun can be had from verbally abusing the remaining players or puppet mastering them until the end of the game ;) ). The score system will have already chalked you up a loss and leaving the game at this point would not punish you further.

The message you refer to simply reminds players that if they quit out their rankings will be affected.

Do remember that if you are the host you will end the game for any teams left playing - this is not the best behaviour to display and will probably see your rep take a good kicking after a couple of occurences though ;)

Hmmm I didnt know that, thats for ranked matches? After the 3 games I played, only playing one round each, the game was over and I was sent back to the title screen and had to search for a new game. I wasnt left playing with the same people I had been playing with.

Yes, and exactly why is that? Knowing that Worms XBLA is supposed to be a casual game, shouldn’t Team 17 encourage quick games that don’t require well over an hour of your time?

No. They should encourage the ignoring of bugs and the mass download of DLC for lots of points.

As a business, what else could they encourage? Nothing else makes sense.
