Mabye, but the majority of the Team just sat down in front of a large screen all day, with very littlephysical activity whatsoever!
So don't think bad of yourself. Unless it's in your choice of career!

Oh, and way to go, Splapp!

Great to hear, Badge!!! Finally, we know we'll have a concrete date for Worms!!!! This is a big relief.

I guarantee that, short of a big disaster, I will buy this game. This really is the most I've looked forward to an Arcade release yet. I'm sure that I'll get killed more often than not online, but I still can't wait to play this again.

How soon will you guys at Team 17 be able to spill all of the beans about this game now that it is certified? Like the extra Marketplace content, price of the game, etc.

I'll bet you guys are even more relieved than us gamers.

Hey Spudge, since the game is certified now would you mind asking Microsoft to put a Worms section on their forums? As far as I know they will not add a forum without the developer asking for one.

I've not done much to be fair, apart from whinge & bleat at people :)But that's the best part!

"Luther, what the heck is that supposed to be? I could dig out a worm from my backyard and it would look 100x more realistic than that piece of materialistic computerized model! Just for that, I'm cutting off your beer supply and making you work 26 hours a day! I'll keep whinging until I see you sweating polygons!"

DGood one sphincter! Seriously tho, well done to all involved. I've not been a true worms fan since the first incarnation due to friends having families and jobs etc, I sort of lost touch... Now this is on live (well almost!) and I have a decent set of contacts on live this should be great!

Bring on the wormfare! :-)

Also why are we congratulating Spadge for making an announcement? :p

Spadge

I did point that out. 5-6 people and the original code/art team of WOW made this happen (not to mention the legacy of 10+ years of Worming!)

Spadge, I know there's the 50mb limit on the game, but what kind of limit (if any) is there on additional download content?

To be fair to Martyn, he does take all the flak too. Plus he regularly lays his liver on the line to spread the word at conferences worldwide.

Lagster

so he sits on these forums whinging(his words) and then occasionaly goes out and gets rat arsed at conferences.

Apart from the conferences bit he could be one of us lol

I visit the forums periodically, more so when certain projects are active and I'm monitoring interest and reaction. Conferences are part of what I do and most of my time at them is actually doing business development, whether you believe it or not.

Occasionally this gets misconstrued as alcohol abuse, but trust me, plenty of business actually gets done down the pub as opposed to intense board rooms - at least in the games industry that is.

That explains a lot.
