Hi all. Having waited for months for Worms on 360, I decided to sign up here. I'm not simply going to be another person going "When's it out?", but I am jotting my desire for this game to save my 'marriage'.

I live with my gf, and have done for 6 months. Very happy together, except she's not really a gamer. Well, she's playing more and more, seeing as she now enjoys a game of Lumines now and again, and she's addicted to Viva Pinata.

However, as soon as I try and play against her at anything, I kick her ****. I've been gaming for 20 years, dammit! The only co-op games on the 360 are shooters, and she can't handle the pace. The violence doesn't shock her, but it doesn't appeal, and she can't handle the 200+ functions on each button.

Without co-op and versus play, we can't play together. But WORMS!! We could play that together! Finally, she will be hooked!

ARGH!!! Bring on WORMS WEDNESDAY for the WIFEY!!!!!

Lol dude...just as a future suggestion - could you let her try some racing games? They might be easier for her (with offline multiplayer available)...

But Worms is THE social game, so no worries!

I advise you get Worms:Armageddon for the PC - it's about the same price as the XBLA game and will fill the gap between now and the release.

Fortunately my girlfriend is also an avid Worms fan. Unfortunately she keeps beating me which may end up ruining our 'marriage'. ;)

What, Vader, does she use the Concrete Donkey all the time? :P

Well I really doubt she'd beat him literally.

It's not game violence that puts my wifey off many games, it's the pace and speed of many games. I have failed to get her hooked on Ridge Racer and Burnout. I've been playing games for years, and the hand/eye coordination comes natural. She's about as coordinated as Stephen Hawking on rollerblades.

I love the lass, I just couldn't rely on her in a combat situation.

I recommend you get a pair of DS's, Animal Crossing, Electroplankton, Nintendogs, Mario Kart and Dragon Quest IX (when it comes out). Don't get the DS version of Worms, though.

Sunnycool: No. The schemes we play don't have Concrete Donkeys. She's just good at Worms. She'd beat you at MegaBnG, too.

I completely agree, although you may never have a conversation again.

The aspect of social gaming with 'noobs' is what's appealing to me from this iteratoin of worms. I'm looking forward to playing with family and friends when they come over - they don't want a million exotic weapon choices to confuse them, just some of that classic pick-up-and-play action that the old school worms offers. If they can't be competitive against me after a round or two they're not going to want to play it. The was it's designed now I think will lead to some real social fun.

Even more leisurely-paced than Worms, playable turn-based on just one machine, can play allied vs. the computer.

Also a damn awesome game, but that goes without saying :p.

It's all about sitting on the sofa in the front room, so it's all about the xbox. Got Crackdown today. It would be nice to just play co-op with wifey, ignore the main storyline and just fool around - maybe make piles of stuff to explode. Just play around with the engine. Guess what, though - the game is ONLINE CO-OP only.

I wait patiently for Worms. ONLY SPADGE CAN SAVE MY GAMING MARRIAGE!!!

my gf got quite into gears of war and lego star wars which was pretty cool. she is much better help than the computer thats for sure. i've also managed to get her hooked to the sims on pc so if i want to play some frantic frag action i can always convince her that she'd like to play some sims, works out well

lego star warsAh, that should be a good option.

LSW2 DS wasn't up to much, but I imagine the "big console2 version works better, given the positive reviews it got.

If they are as good as the PC version (which is highly likely) then it's an absolute dream.

But then, I am a massive Star Wars fan and an even bigger Lego fan.

My only gripe was the number of A-class bugs it had. :(

I didn't really find that many bugs myself...
