I am currently running a windows xp computer and i cant get worms armagedon to even install, when i click on the setup file nothing happens. Can anyone tell me what to do about it. I am aware that worms is not meant to be run on a windows xp. The disc i am using is very old, i used to run it on my windows 95 computer... could this be the issue? i have successfully installed a demo of worms armageddon and when i go to play a game on it the screen goes blank and after a while i have to press ctrl + alt + del and end task. Anyone have any sugestions?

You'll find a 3rd party installer and a 3rd party patcher there too.

If there's no obvious cause, the 3rd party installer may or may not actually help you. If the disc has been damaged but all the needed files are still readable, it should help.

I'll also note that I had a similar problem a long time ago, and making a copy of the cd to install from helped. Apparently it was incredibly slow and/or error-prone rather than completely broken.
