I was wondering if Wormnet is down, since my internet works good but I suddenly can't connect to wormnet today... Tracing a bit I saw that Wormnet2 is also unreachable, a tracert command follows serveral successfull hops - then suddenly gets a "destination net unreachable" (not host but net, wow did a part of the internet blow up???)

its been down for over half a day here... currently 9:31pm... and and i would love to make the suggestion that the time out time should be reduced to like 30 seconds or something instead of over a minute.

im surprised that only you posted about it being down... ive been wandering why no one else has as well.

Ohhhh YES pretty please yes that would be a VERY good reduction!

Maybe nobody dares to ask :p
Well, I was only wondering and a quick confirmation on the forum is always nice (so I know its not my problem over here)

At first the whole net was unreachable.... but now the problem seems to be at the Team17 gate. Maybe somebody with no id who doesnt get past the entrance and a line is building up behind this guy waiting for the party to start...

Tracing route to wormnet1.team17.com [195.89.193.89]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
13 * so-4-0-0-bcr3.tsd.cw.net [195.2.10.97] reports: Destination net unreachable.
Trace complete.

Tracing route to wormnet1.team17.com [195.89.193.89]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
19 120 ms 111 ms 32 ms gate.team17.com [195.89.193.67]
20 gate.team17.com [195.89.193.67] reports: Destination protocol unreachable.

edit: and its back online again :p

Seconded. Though it might be more complicated than that for all I know.

Meh, you've seen one down time, you've seen them all.

This sounds like a nice time to advertise my WormNET server list (http://worms.thecybershadow.net/wormnet/).

Oh, would you look at that - WormNET seems to be up now anyway.

Eventually... but the downtime was unrelated, TTBOMK.

TTBOMK is the sound that a stunned squirrel makes when it falls down from a tree, hits two twigs, bumps on the hood of a car and finally lands on the gravel on the ground.

Around noon today I tried to get on the Team17 forums and the WWP homepage and they did not work. I went on WormNet and logged in fine 2 minutes later.

ive never seen a respected mod use a abbreviation where the abbreviation stands for a saying that contains a swear on the appropriate forums.

"Use the friendly Google!"

Where's the swear word in that? :)

If I were to count the number of abbreviations ever used on this forum and try to substitute them with swear words, I believe I would be successful in many attempts.

You are free to substitute whatever words you think were used in the abbreviation, but that won't mean those were the intended ones.

P.S. I'm not a mod on these forums.

that TTBOMK abbreviation is pure evil, anyways :p
