Ok, I just got the game ( Yes bought it. ) and it wont work properly, first of all if I try to start normally from the icon on my desktop, it asks the resolution and such, then I'll click play..nothing wont happen, absolutely nothing. The game wont even start so it would be on running processes. Now if I go to the installation folder and click exe there, the game will start, without asking the resolution, and the game starts in small window. If I try to maximize it, it goes to
' full screen ' yes but the game but there is only lots of black and the little window of worms at down left corner. So I dont get what Im supposed to do, so I could play it at fullscreen. Anyone knows ?

meh.

Close any memory-hoggers (browsers, emulators, scoring software etc etc).

See if that helps.

Oh, and post all your specs here (start-run-dxdiag-ok-save all info-choose a location-save-copy text file-quick reply-ctrl+v-post quick reply)

OK.

Hmm... It works with some people.

Try attaching it instead.
Oh yeah, you can also delete the bit about system devices... that's just a load of crap.

Here's mine without system devices, just to prove it can be done,

Well here's the file now as an attachment. Didnt remove the bit of crap from it though but I guess you can still see if there's a problem

Find anything useful which could tell whats the problem ? I'd really want to play W3D, I got w4m though but i like this game more..

Muzer
29 Jan 2007, 17:07
not really. Your graphics card is supported, the system looks new, you have a sound card... The only thing I can suggest is the same thing I said above, Ctrl+Alt+Delete, go to processes and google each of the ones on the list. If it says it's not vital, try closing it!

Oh, a couple more things:

Try fiddling with the resolution option. It could be your video card doesn't support it but the game thinks it does. Ditto with the refresh rate.

Tried fiddling with refreshes and resolution, wont work. Havent tried on other games though cause only few games does support 1440x900 resolution which is the maximum, but I did try WA with that resolution and it worked so I dont really get...yep I'll try the processes thing when I got some more time...tx anyway
