We over at Dream17 have managed to get hold of some rather snazzy screenies from Total Wormage, an early development version of Worms on the Amiga. You can check them out at the bottom of [this page (http://www.dream17.co.uk/softography.php?id=27&s=xtra)] - they are a sight to behold for any Worms enthusiast.

We've also got some screenies of Army Men: Major Malfunction if anyone's interested in that.

Honestly, I couldn't tell you.

The title obviously.
And some weapons were called differently (even until a very early demo version of Worms):
Firepunch = fireball
Dragonball = dragonpunch
Ninja rope = Bat rope
Honestly, I couldn't tell you.
Hmmm... cryptic.

Ninja rope is still called Bat Rope in W:A, atleast in Code.

The difference seems to be mainly in the graphics, you can clearly see how much Team17 polished them.

Did anyone else pick up this month's GamesTM?

There was a great Andy Davidson interview.

Aparantly Total Wormage was about 75% complete when he showed it to team17 and entirely playable.

Which sugests that there probably still are a few copys of the game floating around somewhere.

Team17 polished the background graphics and added the ambient music and soundbanks. The airstrike and clusterbomb were added by Andy.

Aparantly Andy wanted to add a realtime one player mode in Worms:Armageddon. Something to think about the next time the age old 'Realtime worms!' thread reapears.;)

yep, I picked itup. Ash let me know about it. The Making of Worms article isn't new - it was printed in Retro Gamer last year - but it's still a cracking read. The rest of the Amiga stuff is awesome too, and there's a lot of pro-Team17 stuff in there :)

Nice. :)

See the two screenshots with the snow themes, the top one has the red sky, whilst the bottom one has purple.

Would that be the time of day? :confused:
