Hi, I installed worms 2 to my new pc and after the opening credits nothing happens, it just goes back to the desktop. I've tried it without the opening but nothing happens. what could i do? I'm running windows xp sp2 media ce if that has anything to do with it.

1) is it a legal version of the game?
2) goto www.worms2.com and get the patch.

Yes, its legit. i got it years ago though. but according to the website i have the latest version, cus the icon thing has a worms head and a 107 above it. i'll take another look just in case.

Go to frontend.exe, right click, properties, compatibility, run this program with compatibility for (any older system eg windows 98)
repeat with the other executable files.


Also, try reinstalling

I tried doing both of those things and it didn't change anything. I've had it running on xp pro before, on a different pc. would xp media center edition be doing it?

try turning off large fonts?
revert to windows standard theme?

something similar to the above?

I tried disabling themes and it didn't help, and i use the standard font size.

Does anyone else have problems with xp and worms 2?
