I want to host a game, however, there are multiple computers on my network, occasionally someone else wants to play on WormNET.

So I can't use port forwarding.

And I don't want to use WormNAT cause not everyone has it.

What shall I do?

Not much. The alternative is using a VPN solution like Hamachi, but that's not much better than WormNAT since not everyone has it.
If you have access to the router PC, you could write a program which does a portscan (on port 17011) of your LAN to see who has that port open, then manually route all data there. (It's kind of like auto-decide-whoever-is-hosting).

Boo! Hiss! for belkin router.

Well, I can only hope for UPnP in WA.

IP Override 2.0 (http://www.blamethepixel.com/file.php?id=0876) fixed my hosting problem. It works for W:A and WWP. Use the site from version 1 in the readme because the version 2 site does not work.

A program which configures W:A to use your current external IP on every run can't help you if your computer isn't connectable from the Internet in the first place, Plainplane.

Which sucks really bad.

No web servers, no irc servers, no MyWormNET servers.

And I dont know the router password *curses various people*

Don't routers have a master password? Or a mechancial override switch/jumper?

If I opened it up I could probably find one.

Main problem is that my dad is in control of it, and if I said that I wanted ports forwarded for WormNET (he is a W:A player too), he will say "What if I want to play" etc. etc.

If he's not going to forward 17011 to his PC, he might as well let you have that port.

why cant you forward the ports to multiple IP's? i can very easily... it just takes up slots... i only have 20 slots and a maximum of 20 ports -.- anymore and it wont let me... even if i specify ranges...

I'm curious how would that work. Doing that would be equivalent to making the same phone number connect to 10 telephones. What happens if the port is opened on both PCs?

Well, thats what UPnP is for, opens/closes on demand.

And the port settings, that is a MUST!
